Never Quiet on the Cinematic Front

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Wow,

February was the last time we updated our blog…that’s because the last two months have been packed! Here are a few of the highlights!

Reversal Films Announces its plans for the Sustainable Cinema Initiative – Check out an interview with Reversal’s Josh Parker, Victor Moyers, and Nicholas Jayanty in Austin Business Journal.

Then it was off too San Francisco to celebrate a Noise Pop Spotlight on Director Nathan Christ! and participate in a discussion about what it means to be the “Live Music Capital of the World,” and how you even begin to qualify that statement!

And SXSW…always a productive whirlwind.

Skateland sold out the Paramount Theater and the ATX EMERGE, where two of Echotones featured artists, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears and Sunset, our buddies, Califone, and ATX die-hards braved the rain to celebrate the Texas Premier of Skateland with Skateland stars Ashley, Greene, Shiloh Fernandez, and producer/writers Brandon and Heath Freeman and writer/producer/director Anthony Burns, landing our community event on twitter feeds across the globe.

Check out Mary Tuma’s interview in Community Impact News with several of the ATX EMERGE co-founders, Victor Moyers,  Nicholas Jayanty, and Daniel Perlaky, to learn more about the ATX event series roots and where it’s headed.

Heath Freeman and Ashley Greene at the ATX EMERGE

And most recently, Skateland is the opening night of the Dallas International Film Festival! Many thanks to James Faust in his inaugural year as the Artistic Director of the fest! We wish them the best of luck.

There’s a lot of interesting developments soon to be announced regarding the Sustainable Cinema Initiative, and Echotone’s World Premiere Experience, so keep your eyes close to Echotone’s facebook, the twitter, or right here at ReversalFilms.com.
